Capacity Building for Child Protection: Training/ Workshop / Seminar: November 2023
Counselling training was conducted from 20th to 23rd November2023, at SSRDC Mangalore. Sr. Dulcine Crasta, Director of SSRDC cum Technical support person UNICEF and Sr. Dimple D’Souza, Resource person were present at the Inauguration. 27 counsellors from 10 districts participated in the training. Sr. Celine D’Sa organised and coordinated the programme.
Annual Evaluation – November 2023
On 14th& 15th November 2023, Annual evaluation was held at SSRDC. Mr. Sony Kutty George facilitated setting the goal, vision and mission of the SST and briefed the activities that are managed by SST.
Celebrations: November 2023
14th November 2023, Diwali festival was celebrated in SSRDC. Prayer Service was conducted and festal meal was served. All the staff enjoyed the celebration along with Mr. Harish Jogi – Gok-UNICEF CP Program Manager and Mr. Sony Kutty George – Child Protection Specialist – UNICEF.
Transformation of Child Care Institution in Bangalore (Project supported by APPI)-November 2023
On 7th November 2023, new Project Office is blessed by Fr. Edward Thomas – Director of Dream India Network at Lingarajapuram, Bangalore. Sr. Dulcine the Director, Azim Premji Project Team, Sr. Jecintha Monteiro – Superior of Chethak, Bangalore, Sr. Milly D’souza, Project Staff, Ms Mary Chelladurai, AINA Trust were present during the blessing.
Capacity Building for Child Protection: Training/ Workshop / Seminar: October 2023
On 19th October 2023, Sr. Precilla Correa conducted training on Preparation of Social Investigation Report, Individual Care Plan, Rehabilitation Card and maintaining of Case file documents at Government Children Home for Boys, Gadag. Head of 7 CCIs, Caseworkers, Counsellors, Probation Officers and DCPU staff, in total 24 members were present for the training.
Consultations and Meetings- October 2023
On 31st October 2023, Sr. Dulcine Crasta attended online Core committee meeting of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for special adoption agencies of Karnataka organized by Child Protection Directorate. 15 committee members across the state were present for the meeting and discussed the draft of Standard Operating Procedures for Adoption.

On 16th October 2023, Sr. Dulcine Crasta facilitated the learning visit of Assam Child Protection team and conducted a session on case management, standard of care and de-institutionalized at Directorate of Child Protection, Bangalore.

Sr. Dulcine Crasta attended the meeting of Accelerate India foundation trust Scholarship distribution programme for COVID affected children and conducted a session on life skill. Programme was jointly organized by Accelerate India Foundation Trust, Suprajit foundation Bangalore and DCPU Dakshina Kannada district. 15 children were benefited from this programme.
